About Device & Diagnostic Pathology LLC

Device & Diagnostic Pathology LLC was founded in 2023 by Dr. Kirsten Landsgaard, a board-certified veterinary anatomic pathologist with a focus in implantable medical devices and diagnostic pathology. 

Dr. Landsgaard grew up raising and showing animals in California. Following that, she attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for her Bachelor's of Animal Science degree. During her time there, she was accepted into an accelerated veterinary degree program with the University of Glasgow Veterinary School in Scotland. In Glasgow she received her veterinary degree (BVMS is the equivalent to DVM in the USA) and became an inducted member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. She continued to follow her passion for pathology into a residency, this time at Texas A&M University gaining her Master's degree. Her residency gave her experience with industry and academic research, providing support for GLP and non-GLP studies, as well as diagnostic necropsies and biopsies. Once board-certified she continued her study with a post-doctoral fellowship jointly between the Cardiovascular Pathology Laboratory and the Biomedical Engineering Department before starting her own consulting business.
